Thermal Maps 2019

Thermal Maps reveals a conceptual and plastic exploration of the artist, where the end result is works made with cotton threads. The images that these threads make up refer to photographs captured with a thermal camera, representing the areas of heat and cold manifested in each individual during activities associated with pleasure, physical interaction with their environment and with other individuals. Cotton is used to make garments characterized by their properties as a generator and preservative of body heat; For this reason, it was selected as the ideal material for the execution of these pieces, providing content and meaning to them.

The artist's intention is to register in an indirect way the ties and the way in which the human being relates to everything around him, currently physical contact has taken second place, interaction through social networks or Digital media has displaced interest in sensation or pleasure to the touch.
